Discord is a popular IM client used by gamers to chat and share media. The app is featured among several lists of top 10 messaging apps in the world. The developers behind Discord have been adding new features to it after listening to user feedback. The latest among them is the addition of “Spoilers”. Spoilers are hidden messages which can be seen by clicking on them. Users usually use them to share something without spoiling the fun or suspense for others in a group. For example, the climax of a movie, a twist in a book, etc. In the new update, users can put spoilers on Discord in the messages they send. Here’s how you can add a spoiler tag on Discord on a desktop client, Android, iPhone or iPad. How to Add Spoiler Tags on Text messages Method 1 To add a spoiler tag to your text message, simply type ‘/spoiler’ while starting your message. For example, sending your text in the form’/spoiler this is a spoiler message’ within the Discord server will hide your text until someone decides to view them. Method 2 Alternatively, you can also send your text message within two vertical bars. Put these bars at the start and end of your message like, ‘||this is a spoiler message||’ would display your text as a spoiler. How to Add Spoiler Tags on Discord Images Step 1 Using the desktop client or the website, simply drag and drop your files over the server chat. Similarly, you can also use the plus sign (+) to add your images. Step 2 As the preview of your attachment appears before sending them, select the checkbox ‘Mark as Spoiler.’ This will hide the image, you are sending. After which, simply click on ‘Upload’. Step 3 Once you have sent the image, it will appear on Discord as spoiler tags. Simply click on the ‘Spoiler’ in order to view the content. This will simply remove the spoiler tag and display the image as it was.
